The brilliance of an encounter, the moment that illuminated everything

It was in 2005, in the heart of Provence, that Jordane, a graphic designer, and Florent, a chef, crossed paths and shared their passions. Their lives intertwined, but their schedules kept them apart. So, they made a choice: to create together.

One evening, as they search for the idea that could unite them around a shared project, a power outage plunges their home into silence and darkness. A few candles are lit, and in this peaceful atmosphere, one sentence changes everything:
“What if we made some candles?”
A spark born from a suspended moment. Lumodor was born.

Inspired by the golden light and vibrant hues of the South, Jordane and Florent began by offering their creations at craft markets. Later, a boutique opened in the medieval village of Le Castellet, just a short walk from their workshop.

Very quickly, they specialized in tealight holders and wax lamps: objects designed to provide gentle lighting, without burning out, combining aesthetics and durability.

Each piece is handcrafted by Florent, then decorated with a brush by Jordane. This artisanal expertise, entirely Provençal, was recognized in 2017 by the title of Master Artisan d'Art.

Even today, each Lumodor creation carries within it a part of this story: that of an encounter, of a moment, and of a light born to last.
